Welcome back, Pandas!
I am thrilled to share some exciting news with you: the beloved giant pandas are making a much-anticipated return to the San Diego Zoo after a brief absence!
Since May of this year, no giant pandas have been on display in any U.S. zoo, leaving a noticeable void for panda enthusiasts nationwide. While other zoos across the country plan to reintroduce pandas by the end of the year, San Diego will be the first to showcase these magnificent animals.
Tomorrow, August 8th, the San Diego Zoo will officially debut its new residents, Xin Bao and Yun Chuan. These pandas arrived on June 27th and have been settling into their expansive new habitat, Panda Ridge. This innovative habitat, four times larger than the Zoo's previous panda space, is designed to replicate the lush Chinese forests. It includes features such as pools, misters, and rock outcroppings, all aimed at ensuring the pandas' comfort and well-being.
I am giving away two tickets to the San Diego Zoo to celebrate this occasion!
