The San Diego County Fair kicks off today—here's what you need to know

Father's Day Ideas 🎡 Fried Ramen Tacos, Puppy Yoga & Pig Races—It's Fair Season! The 2025 San Diego County Fair opens this week (June 11–July 6), and if you're like most San Diegans, this marks the unofficial start of summer. This year's theme is "Summer Pet-tacular"—which means everything from corgi races and scent-detection dog demos to adoptable puppies and even yoga… with puppies. Some highlights: New Foods Worth the Calories: Ramen tacos, pickle lemonade (yes, really), a tres leches cinnamon roll, and a meatball-mozzarella kebab from Chicken Charlie himself. Pet-Focused Fun: Daily dog shows, Cesar Millan on stage June 21, and July 4's Pooch Fun Run. Live Music & Nightlife: Taylor Swift laser show, Colin Mochrie's improv hypnosis, Big Gigantic, and more at The Sound. Deals & Discounts: Wednesdays & Thursdays: Unlimited ride wristbands ($50 in advance). Fridays: Kids under 12 get in free and food vendors slash prices in half until 4 p.m. Season Passes: Just $65 for all 20 days. And of course, the pig races are back.
