How to Win in San Diego Real Estate Right Now

The San Diego real estate market is driven by a structural housing shortage. This limited supply creates stability in pricing and opportunity for those who know how to navigate it.

The average home in San Diego is about $1,050,000, slightly up year over year. Sales are up nearly 5 percent from last year and jumped over 20 percent just from January to February. Homes are consistently selling in about 18 days.

Right now, if no new homes came on the market, everything for sale in San Diego would be gone in just over 3 months. A balanced market is closer to 6 months, which shows just how tight supply still is.

Even with more construction, we are still behind. And here is why.
